WTFFFFF

why can't you just put on a fucken sweater???????

Monday, June 15, 2009

I'm a big fan of short skirts and short shorts. Short anything really. Not that I'm a slut and I want bitches on my jock. But that shit makes a stubby 5'3" have some longer leaner legs.

However, given the fact that I live in a community of big sleeze bags, I must resort to wearing more unattractive things in order to avoid being "eye-fucked" by these perverted grown men. Why, oh, why must my fashion choices be suppressed due to the society's sexual obsession? :( It not only makes me feel disgusted, but just a little more sad.

Yelp.com

...is my new best friend. When you think your hometown is boring, this website definitely adds more excitement to your life. So a mini yelp via blog...

(1/2 sandwich & chowder, calamari in the far back)

Fisherman's Grotto on the Fisherman's Wharf

I usually just get a cup of the chowder and bounce, but this was my first time actually dining in at the restaurant. It definitely captures the ESSENCE OF MONTEREY: Touristy, average seafood, & a little old fashioned American.

The chowder was bomb, but the sandwich was disappointing. Cold shrimp in a creamy mystery sauce. Maybe it just needed more veggies for my taste.

ANYWAY, if you ever hit up Monterey bay ever (or home), get thissss. This chowder has definitely been taken for granted and I feel has been under-appreciated.

GREAT SUNGOD WEEKEND BTW

yo baby yo baby YO

www.thisiswhyyourefat.com

Probably one of the most visited sites on my browser. As disgusting as this sounds, I want to try some of the things on there. Within reasonable lines though, like the fried chicken and waffles, and the breakfast sushi. Yummmmmmy

And a quick update on that Evian facial spritz...definitely not worth my $20. I sprayed it on after my makeup routine and it only made my skin feel even more oiler at the end of the day. Returned that shit within a quickness.

On the other hand, I've discovered this AH MAAAAY ZING drugstore foundation. For at least $10 it's mofuggen great. The Revlon Colorstay for Oily/Combination skin. SPF 6! Better than none. But that shit workssssss, my face doesn't look like I just slathered on some bacon grease after 6 hours of application. It has something called SoftFlex, but I don't know what the hell that is....so you might wanna google that up and tell me bout it too.

PAYDAYYY, woo

As of lately I've been trying to keep on top of my work. I am absolutely stunned how others can over-pile their plate, while I measly have only 4 classes and work. That is such the minimum load. And here I am lazy as fuck just getting by. Sigh, you over achievers inspire me; keep up the good work.

I just bought this smoothing balm/primer. And it does make my skin feel oh so good. 30 bucks, but I guess it's worth it.

(Benefit's Dr. Feelgood smoothing balm)

Anyway, I will be looking forward to hitting up southern California soon to party it up for Sun God. B) Can't wait.

TOTAL SCORE

So as I was on my hunt for the perfect sundress, I came across a knock off MAC cosmetics brand, 'Flirt!'

(Flirt! liquid lipcolor in Nude Kiss, MAC lustreglass in Pinkarat)

It's a knock off, but it seems pretty legit. It's at Kohl's and I got this really pretty lipgloss for only 10 dollars. WHAT THE EFF, fucken steal. I'M SUPER HAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPY ABOUT THIS DISCOVERY TOO

SUMMER is almost heeeere

Ah, you know it's almost summer when you see them Mexicans pushing around those little ice cream carts. And that makes me hella love being back home in faux-ghetto Seaside.

So I bought that Evian spritz, $20 for 15 oz, at Long's drugs. Hella bank. Before, I went to the Dollar Tree to find the Aquafina one, but no avail. I only used the Evian water once, but I'll keep you posted.

It's so nice to feel the optimism in looking forward to each day. :)

Mission to get that 'fresh, dewey' face

I've always been enticed by that fresh face look with the dewy glow. It just looks effortless and natural.

So with that said, I've found a few products to help.

Highlighters. No, not that neon orange markers. But a powder or cream eyeshadow helps. I use Mac's eyeshadow Nylon. It's a frosty, pearlescent yellow shade. It's really nice for putting on the inner part of your eye to make them pop and look brighter. Or put it on the brow bone, and a little on the apples of your cheeks to brighten those areas up. Just make them stand out more.

Face sprays. Ok, I've been on the hunt for this one. It's used to spray on after you put on all of your makeup. I've heard others describe it as 'giving a seamless look to your makeup. Kinda blending and meshing everything together appearing as if you're not wearing makeup at all. And getting rid of that powdery look.' People also use em to transform their mineral foundation into a creamier and smoother makeup. Spray a little on your foundation brush, dip it in the powder, then do your thing. And the spray not only gives you that dewey fresh faced look, but it also claims to hydrate your skin. Which is always a plus.

Mac Fix spray I heard works GREAT. But for 1.5 oz for 20 dollars......There should be a better alternative. The only down side to it other than the price, I'd assume, is that it's in a spray bottle form. So it wouldn't give you a nice mist on your face, but a real water spray. So you would probably have sweat-like beads when you spray it on.

Evian also has a spray, but it's in an aerosol bottle, so it'd give you a much finer mist. Another competitor is the Aquafina Hydration Facial Spray. Which is the same thing, but for much cheaper. I've heard it's at the Dollar Tree. So $1 for a bottle of dewey fresh face? STEAL.

EXCEPT it's SO HARD TO FIND IT. Even the Evian mist. Of course Mac is everywhere, but I really want to try the other sprays. So hopefully I will be able to get my hands on a bottle soon. Or else I'll have to opt for Mac Fix.

The world has seemed to slow down

I feel like time is flying by a lot slower than usual.

And I've noticed that my skin is lacking sunlight. I'm losing my melanin, and I used to be a real good tan. My makeup looks too dark for me now. what the EFF >:|

Anyway, I'm on the hunt for the perfect pair of black chunky gladiator/gothic heels. Just saw Sex and the City movie for the first time. I've been admiring these pair of shoes, but finally seeing Sarah Jessica Parker in those Dior cut out sandals.....ah I must get my hands on something similar.

Checked out the new Forever 21 in Salinas, it's claimed to be the largest in northern California. It is...but it doesn't really live up to the hype. It pretty much just feels like how it is, Mervyn's make shift Forever 21. Plain white tile and grey carpeting from their former tenants, but with Forever 21 clothes on the racks. It would probably carry as much clothing/accessories, if not just a little more, as any other store. The only difference is there are no really bright lights or bright white linoleum floor. The racks are spaced farther apart, so no fightin for the cute sweater with the bitch next to you. I don't know about you, but all of that hassle from other F21s just didn't impress me.

But i did cop a pair of knock off American Apparel nylon leggins, HOLLA

Can it be forever already? B/c I wanna love you forever

It was a real good weekend. I wish weekends had more days in it.

We didn't go to SF b/c of the shitty weather. And I didn't use my camera, sorrrrrryz. But we hit up hella food placessss. Yummmmmmy. Had the most bombest falafel (which is mid-eastern food, fried chickpeas, lettuce, tomato in a pita with hot sauce & this yogurt based sauce) with a banana shake. Sooooo good. Hit it up if you're in Santa Clara near Santana Row, Falafel's Drive In.

It was like food heaven all weekend. Ramen house, Pasta Pomodoro, Pinkberry, Sushi O Sushi, Tartini's crepe, Red Crane's asian fusion, falafel, homemade Viet food, Kara's cupcakes.

And we baked cupcakes :) Also went to go see "He's Just Not That Into You." Pretty much an ideal date weekend, only if it was warmer. Mmm, here's that crepe from Tartini's

Banana, nutella, whipped cream, choco sauce. DELICIOUS

Yea, we're pretty much food fanatics.

And hopefullllllllly have enough time/money/gas to go to CONCORD to see my number 1 bitch.

Dirty hair is better than clean hair?

Dirty hair is gross. But cmon, honestly I hate showering everyday. Don't get me wrong, I love the feeling of 'getting right out of the shower' clean. But I hate that it takes me literally over an hour just to get ready. The majority of the time definitely goes towards air drying my hair, b/c it gets so frizzy and dry if I run the blow dryer through it.

Anyway, so what I like to do is wash my hair every other day. I'm in the process of 'training it' to be able to adapt to the change. I concluded that since I wash it everyday, and with it being all frizzed out nasty....it just gets dry. So my body compensates for the oil depletion by producing even more oils to keep my hair nicely conditioned and anti-dandruffy. Makes sense? So maybe if I stop showering on the daily, maybe once every other day (2-3 days is PUSHING the questions towards maintaining good hygiene, of mine & others haha) so that my body would sense that it does not need to produce as much oils. Hence making me have more free time to sleep, and saving more water and shampoo. :)

In the meantime, I've google'd up on some dry shampoos. Which comes in a hairspray can, and you just spray it into your roots and I'm assuming that it kinda sprays a powder or drying agent to soak up your natural oils. I haven't tried it yet, but I think I might give it a try.

Also, another thing to mention....the difference between expensive salon shampoos/conditioners from your local drugstore's shampoo is that there is more water in the salon ones. So I guess it's a more mild and gentle formula on your hair than harsh shampoo'ing and stripping your tresses of natural oils.

Tired

As of late, I've just been trying to keep busy with school work. But it's hard to do something when you're not motivated much.

Anyway, I don't know how well I'm doing but it shouldn't be too bad. KEEP YO FINGAS CROSSED. I've been trying to remake that Alex Wang zipper skirt in my fashion class. But I'm using some cheap-o black stretch denim. I effed up with lining up the fabric, but oh wellz. I'll give you a pic of the product.

And sigh....wasteful weekends. If I ever make a list of things I HATE, that will definitely be on it. Uneventful weekends, where you WANT to do something to kinda take a break from the madness week days. But you don't have anything extraordinary to do. =/

Things in life that I hellalalalal LOVE...

This list will be an on-going list, i'll keep adding to it as i discover more things that make me happy. :)

1. Ice cream sandwiches; neopolitan or original vanilla. Shit is THE bomb and has always been my fave.

2. Places that are 'take your breath away' status. In example, Skyview Drive in Seaside, Mt. Soledad in SD, Twin Peaks in SF (Google that shit, these are some good places to hit up if you're ever in the area). Pretty much any place that really captures the beauty of the city and it's lights. Just really pausing to take a moment to enjoy life and everything around you. That kinda deep shit haha

3. Eating out with a significant other. I really enjoy dining at a place that's very unique in it's ambience as it is with the food that it serves. Extraordinary Desserts is one of my faves. Mainly cos it's a good date restaurant with nice decor, and they serve hella decadent desserts. One of me and my boyfriend's regular places we go to when I'm in town now. :)

4. The kinda friends where you hit them up every other 5 months, but when you speak to them it's as if not a day has passed by since you've seen them. I really REALLY love that kinda shit. They just make me feel so comfortable in talking to them, and I know that time apart won't phase us.

5. Being high as fuck with funny ass people. Things just get THAT much funnier and life just feels that much better.

6. Chipotle chicken burrito bowls. Extra lettuce, extra sour cream, extra corn, with dressing. So fucken dank. Free drink cos I work at the mall too.

7. People who definitely OWN it with their wardrobe and have like a really unique sense of style. As in I could picture no one else but them PULLING IT OFF. Big ups. Especially when they don't have such a conforming figure or not the cutest face. Anyone who pretty much exudes confidence and doesn't give a fuck about what others think. Inspires meeee

Too bad i quit smoking....although i'm having second thoughts about that decision hahaHAHA WHO KNOWS :p

But i JUST RECENTLY GOT MY CABLE BACK, wooooo! And i was watching this cartoon. Then i thought how epic it would be to watch this while helllllllllllllla faded. OMG you don't even know how excited i was while watching this and imagining myself just ROFLMAO status. There's just hella random shit in it that make me giggle. ENJOY SUCKAS

Hmmm

So i've seriously been thinking about getting a tattoo. But i'm sure i'm getting it all for the wrong reasons. Eh....FUCK IT

So i've been wanting a peacock or peacock feather incorporated in it. With cherry blossoms. Kind of a mix between these...

Except only the flowers, no stem/branch

And more colorful peacock feathers

Or something bad ass along the lines of Angelina Jolie's shoulder and back tattoo.

Something that would definitely be UNIQUELY me. Marc Jacob's status

Except not so bold with the spongebob hahaha

Sigh...

I can't get over alexander wang's fall 2008, although his fall 2009 collection has already come out. Or maybe because i'm in love with that loose fitting silhouette and greys/blacks/whites.

Must have that zipper skirt

Virgin blog no more

FIRST BLOG POST, woo. So now i have a total of 3 blogs: livejournal, xanga (HA), plus this one.

Why so many? It's always fun dickin around with what features each 'online journal' server provides. Plus there are many more interesting ones that i follow whom are with blogspot.

Ok for those of you who might be like WTF IS UP WITH THIS USERNAME? HARROKERRY? fucken hello kitty wannabe.

INSIDE JOKE, most of my friends associate me with hello kitty cos i have a round face like hers (yes round as fuhhhhh. no whiskers or yellow nose though) and it's just something to laugh at. And they think i'm obsessed....but owning ONLY AND SOLELY a lamp and alarm clock doesn't mean i got a cartoon fetish.....do i?
